The Story
Groove Fontaine is the founder voice and signature presence of WPTG FM — a host, curator, performer, and station builder with real music history behind him. He has been rocking the mic and playing music since the age of 7. His journey includes touring with Run-DMC, working around the Profile Records era, touring with Redman and Keith Murray, and being a member of ASCAP since 1997. On The Groove Fontaine Show, he brings grown conversation, real stories, soul, R&B, music history, listener energy, and founder perspective to the evening.
Groove Fontaine didn't come to radio from the outside — he came through music, performance, records, stages, and real-life experience. From early childhood, music was already part of his identity. Over time, that love turned into mic work, live performance, touring, songwriting, curation, and eventually the creation of WPTG FM. Now, The Groove Fontaine Show represents the heart of the station: grown music, real conversation, community connection, and the belief that radio should still feel personal.
