With a career forged in the golden era of Hip-Hop and Soul, Groove's perspective is rooted in authenticity. Before founding WPTG FM, he spent years navigating the high-stakes environments of major labels and the global touring circuit—most notably cutting his teeth on the road with Run DMC during the heights of the LL Cool J era.

Those years behind the scenes with the architects of the culture taught him one thing: atmosphere is everything.

A proud ASCAP member since 1997, Groove's commitment to music as both art and craft runs deep. His decades in the industry—from touring with legends to advocating for creators' rights—shaped his understanding that great music deserves great presentation.

Among his early career milestones, Groove was the first Emerging Artist to grace the stage at the legendary S.O.B's in the renowned concert series produced by the late Chris Nadler of Emmis Communications—a platform that launched countless careers and cemented his place in the industry's next generation of tastemakers.

In 2025, Groove launched WPTG FM (Pouring the Groove) as an antidote to the "shuffle" culture of modern streaming—a 24/7 digital broadcast where Real Soul, Jazz, and R&B aren't just genres, but a continuous mood. His mission: to provide a sophisticated soundscape for a global audience that values quality musicianship and deep grooves over fleeting trends.
