Evelyn Brooks is the warm, nurturing voice of Sunday dinner — comforting, wise, funny, and full of family energy. She brings old-school R&B, family soul, and cookout classics to Sunday afternoon. Evelyn believes Sunday dinner should feel like home, family, and love.
Evelyn grew up cooking Sunday dinners for the whole family — greens on the stove, mac and cheese in the oven, cornbread cooling on the counter, and soul music playing in the background. The Spinners, Patti LaBelle, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin — that was her soundtrack. Before WPTG FM, Evelyn hosted family gatherings, community potlucks, and Sunday dinners where she was known as the one who always had the best food and the best music. Now on Sunday Dinner Soul, Evelyn brings that same warmth to WPTG FM.
